Who is Rafał Borowiec?

Rafał Borowiec is an SEO expert and creator of the Patent-Based SEO methodology - an approach where every SEO strategy is grounded in a specific Google patent, not industry guesswork. With over 15 years of experience and 1,000+ analyzed patent documents, he helps e-commerce, SaaS and B2B companies build organic visibility based on documented facts, not speculation. Founder of Patent Core Digital.

My story

I've been working in SEO since 2010. Over these 15 years, I've worked with clients of very diverse needs and scale – from local service providers to recognized national brands. SEO is more than just a job for me – it's a passion for understanding the mechanisms behind search results.

At some point, I grew tired of guessing. Enough of industry myths and "proven techniques" that stopped working after each algorithm update. I decided to go to the source: Google patents.

My path is unconventional. Years of Zen practice taught me to find simplicity in complexity. Now I apply this skill when working with Google documentation – I transform complex patents into strategies that business owners can easily understand and implement.

1,000+

Google patents analyzed

Each one reveals how rankings actually work. No speculation. No tricks. Just documented facts. While others sell "SEO secrets," I read what Google itself publishes.

When your SEO strategy is based on Google patents, you get:

  • Stable traffic growth instead of ranking fluctuations
  • Resistance to algorithm updates
  • Long-term results that compound over time

Every recommendation I make is backed by specific patent documentation. You don't have to take my word for it – I justify every guideline with a patent number, giving you the ability to verify my sources yourself.

Most of my clients come through referrals because transparency builds trust, and results speak for themselves. I don't outsource work or dilute responsibility – from strategy to daily communication, you work directly with me. This ensures that every decision passes through expert hands.

My journey to patent-based SEO

Agency life

For years, I worked in SEO the way most of the industry did – testing, observing, guessing. After each algorithm update, the industry went crazy – forums buzzed with theories, "experts" announced new "proven techniques." And I implemented them for clients and waited to see what the next month would bring.

Frustration

At some point, I had enough. Enough of guesswork and industry myths that stopped working after each update. Enough of explaining to clients that "SEO isn't an exact science" and its results can be unpredictable. I knew there had to be a better way, and the answers were within reach – I just had to start looking where others weren't.

Doubts

Google patents? It sounded like science fiction. Thousands of pages of technical jargon, diagrams, mathematical formulas. Most of the industry didn't even know such documents existed. And those who did said: "they're just patents, Google probably doesn't even use them." For a long time, I took their word for it.

Bill Slawski - the first guide

Everything changed when I came across Bill Slawski's work. Bill spent years analyzing Google patents, translating technical jargon into practical language. His blog, SEO by the Sea, became the missing link for me – thanks to him, complex technical diagrams suddenly became a clear instruction manual.

First steps into a new world

I started reading patents – first individual documents, eventually hundreds of papers. Each one revealed another piece of the puzzle: how Google evaluates content quality, how it understands user intent, how it builds topical authority. I stopped relying on guesswork. I focused on solid documentation. This was an instruction manual for the algorithm, written directly by its creators.

Koray Tuğberk Gübür - second mentor

Another breakthrough was discovering the work of Koray Tuğberk Gübür. Koray didn't just read patents – he translated them into concrete frameworks and strategies. His analyses of Semantic SEO and Topical Authority showed me how to combine patent knowledge with practical implementation. Two mentors, two perspectives – together they gave me a complete picture.

Zen practice

Years of Zen practice taught me something crucial: finding simplicity in complexity. Google patents are hundreds of pages of technical documents. Without the ability to extract clarity from chaos, I would have drowned in details. Zen gave me a tool that no SEO conference could provide.

Over 1,000 patents

I've analyzed over a thousand documents. Each one revealed how rankings actually work. No speculation. No tricks. Just documented facts. I started implementing strategies based on this knowledge with clients – and I saw that they worked. Not for a month or two. For years.

Patent-Based SEO

From this journey emerged an approach I call Patent-Based SEO. When your strategy is based on Google patents, you get: stable traffic growth instead of ranking swings, resistance to algorithm updates, long-term results that compound. Every recommendation references specific patent numbers.

Mission

Today, my mission is to transform technical knowledge into real growth for my clients. Most of them come through referrals – the best recommendation for a fact-based strategy. I work personally with every client: from the first audit to daily support, you work directly with me. This ensures that every decision about your website is based on my 15 years of experience.

New identity

I'm no longer an SEO specialist who guesses. I'm a translator – I convert Google's technical documents into clear strategies that business owners actually understand. You know exactly WHY something works – not just that it supposedly works.

For you

The lesson from this journey is simple: SEO doesn't have to be a black box. The answers exist, they're documented, and – most importantly – you can verify them at the source. Ready for SEO based on facts, not guesswork?
